The Kelvi Pro series is a family of cooling, heating, and contrast therapy wraps designed for home use, clinics, and sports medicine facilities. Powered by KelviTEC™ technology, the Kelvi Pro series uses digital control and a network of sensors to provide accurate and precise temperature control with real-time feedback.

Other products in the temperature therapy space use ice to cool water, which is circulated to extract heat from the user's skin. The Kelvi Pro series Smart Wraps instead use thermoelectric coolers which can change temperature from cooling to heating in seconds and hold precise temperature all day.

Smart Wraps pose a unique design and manufacturing challenge. The flexible subassembly must be able to conform to a wide variety of body types and maintain uniform surface contact while remaining comfortable and without damaging the complex wire harnesses inside.

Designs are laid out in 2D and then mapped onto human anatomy through an iterative process to study the areas of optimal contact for deep tissue cooling and heating. The elements of the wrap are then layered together to create the unique flexible assembly that combines comfort with the convenience of digital control.

Although the Kelvi Pro system does not use water to cool the user’s skin, it does use circulating water to cool the electronics for optimal performance. Maintaining fluid circulation and electrical wiring in the same flexible envelope poses additional challenges.
